Nekeas was founded in 1989 for eight families from Añorbe decided to renew this tradition and began a project which included planting 224 hectares of vineyards and building a bodega to turn their own grapes into wine. Nekeas is now producing quality wines in which traditional customs and modern vinification techniques. We are located in the valley of Valdizarbe, the northernmost wine growing district of NAVARRA. This region is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, one half hour south of Pamplona and one hour south to the Atlantic Ocean. The climate is continental, with both Mediterranean and Atlantic influence, dry sub humid. We oriented our company to the exportation, so that we planted some of the most demanded varieties from the export markets without wasting the autochthonous varieties from Navarra. We used Chardonnay and Viura varieties for white wines and Tempranillo, Grenache, merlot and Cabernet sauvignon for reds. We have two different lines of wines: Nekeas and Vega Sindoa.
