This family winery was built recently in Elciego (Alava), with a vineyard which is an average of 25 years old, with 95% Tempranillo grapes and 5% Garnacha grapes. The 'La Romañiquez' estate has sandy soil and is bordered to the south and east by the Ebro River and to the north and west by the Miralobueno hills, which means that the vineyards enjoy all the hours of sunshine possible while being protected from frost. Initially, they launched their first wine onto the market which was a young wine called 'Caecus'.
