In the heart of Dealu Mare in Romania, in an area with rolling hills, caressed by the sun, we find Budureasca vineyards – an ancient place, with deep roots in the history of wine culture. The archaeological evidence found nearby in Budureasca Valley suggests that this place has a particularly rich tradition in winemaking since Dacian times. Budureasca vineyards are a part of the famous wine-industry region Dealu Mare in Romania and belong to the “Wine parallel”, being placed on the same geographical coordinates (parallel 44° - 46°) as the finest wineries in the world. This allows us to state that the terroir holds the potential to yield some extraordinary wines. We produce only DOC red, white and rose still wines from native varietals such as: Feteasc Neagr, Feteasc Alb, Feteasc Regal, Tmâioas Româneasc, Muscat Ottonel, Busuioac de Bohotin and other international varietals like: Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. We have recently released 2 new collections – Budureasca Organic vinified separately from the rest of the wines and Budureasca Sparkling with double fermentation, both in barrel and in bottle. One of our wine collections – Vine in Flames – is intended mostly for international markets. Wines in this collections are dry, bringing out the best characteristics of each variety, the are matured in oak barrels to gain in complexity and structure and they are aged in bottles for at least 4 month before being launched on the market.
